Post Adoption Advocate (Adults) in Belfast with Hybrid Working

As an experienced and resourceful professional, you will lead on the delivery of an advocacy service for information recovery and family tracing for adults linked to the Mother and Baby Home, Magdalene Laundries and Workhouses in Northern Ireland. 

This role will operate regionally and will involve working in an empathetic and user led way, to advocate for and with individuals seeking information about their time spent in institutions; their adoptions or tracing family of origin.

Some key elements of the role include developing groups and peer support networks which will provide opportunities for people affected by adoption or separation from family of origin to meet others with shared experience.

You’ll work primarily to support the Development Team in Scouts NI (and other teams as required).
