The Role
Working as part of the Physical Sciences team based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, you will be responsible for the development of fit-for-purpose crystallisation procedures on behalf of external clients or in support of Almac Sciences' chemistry projects. These include, but are not limited to determination of solubility in organic solvents, determination of metastable zonewidth, use of Design of Experiment approaches, use of PAT technology, investigation of diverse crystallisation parameters and transfer of crystallisation procedures to kilo lab or plant in support of
Almac Sciences' production teams.

Essential Criteria

  • 5 GCSE (or equivalent), grades A-C including Mathematics and English Language
  • Degree level qualification in an Analytical/Chemistry related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Theoretical knowledge of multiple laboratory techniques
  • Previous relevant laboratory experience

Desirable Criteria
(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)

  • Previous relevant industrial experience in a GMP/GLP environment
