The Role

Working as part of the Analytical team based in our Charnwood site in Loughborough, Leicestershire, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Analytical department on the Charnwood site to ensure that analytical operations are carried out in accordance with Almac policies and procedures, to effectively meet the needs of the business and to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

Essential Criteria

  • B.Sc. (or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry or a Life Science subject with a significant chemistry component.
  • Significant management experience working in the pharmaceutical industry managing a large laboratory operation of multiple teams.
  • Significant experience of analytical method development, validation, stability study design and execution.
  • Experience of managing large numbers of staff and dealing with general human resource challenges.
  • Thorough knowledge of EMA and US FDA regulatory analytical and microbiological requirements for the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical drug products.
  • Hosting analytical aspects of cGMP audits and regulatory inspections.
