  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports together with budgets and forecasts, using Excel and PowerPoint, and where necessary provide cost and revenue variance analysis in areas of significance
  • Develop a cost model covering raw materials and production costs, costs of sales, product development, tooling and investment and overheads
  • Analyze variances from standard cost including purchase price, foreign exchange rate, volume and manufacturing variances
  • Provide support to Manufacturing, Materials and Sales departments, working closely with all departments to produce regular budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor and analyze raw material inventory, coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts, review standard and actual cost for inaccuracies
  • Prepare investment appraisals for capital expenditure projects, and post-implementation reviews of completed capital projects
  • Assist in the preparation of Grant applications to InvestNI
  • Work closely with the Sales team to build a comprehensive model to assist accurate fulfilment of Requests For Quote and to monitor the effectiveness of sales conversions and profit performance by individual product
  • Recommend cost saving strategies and business improvement opportunities
  • Assist in the implementation of an integrated ERP system
  • Help support and provide back-up to the Finance Team in the execution of all its functions working  closely with each member of the team
  • Contribute to ensuring effective systems, procedures and policies are maintained in line with all statutory and company requirements
  • Ensure compliance with all Company health, safety, quality and environmental standards
  • Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures
  • Participate and lead information sharing, team working and continuous improvement programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant third level qualification in  accounting or a related discipline
  • Part-qualified candidates who can demonstrate at least 4 years’ relevant practical experience will also be considered
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a busy Finance team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of finance principles and practices
  • Experience in the analysis of projects and investments, preparation of budgets, forecasting and management reports
  • Knowledge of financial software 
  • IT literate, proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, innovation and decision making skills

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in the use of Sage
  • Knowledge of Power BI
  • Experience in ERP system
  • Japanese Language Skills
