We are pleased to offer this opportunity based at our Japanese location supporting our Almac Sciences business unit. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing sales and enhancing customer service for Almac CMC services and will focus essentially on developing Almac API business across Japan.
They will also be responsible for generating new business and managing existing clients through a range of BD activities including client visits, reviewing Requests For Proposals (RFP’s) and converting to quotations and providing project expertise. They will also be responsible for supporting promotional activities and conferences to further grow the brand in Japan.
The role will be highly influential in maintaining and developing relationships with both customers and Almac key stakeholders, ensuring a high quality service is provided.
To apply for this position, you should have a Degree or equivalent qualification in a Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science or Life Science subject along with a minimum of three (3) years of CMO or Pharma drug development experience, either ‘in the lab’ or as business development.
You should possess knowledge of drug development process including basic knowledge of the regulatory requirements for various phases of development along with general knowledge of Chemistry and Analytical services. A general knowledge of structure of the pharmaceutical industry and its supporting industries, including ‘Big Pharma’, Biotechs, virtual companies, CROs, CMOs, etc. is also highly desirable.
