Bryson Family Services – Lisburn Sure Start requires a;
Child Health Worker
(Ref: F/CHW/L/211)
Temporary until 30th September 2021, with the possibility of extension
20 hours per week
£9 per hour
Monday – Friday

Job Purpose:

The child health worker will be responsible for the delivery of flexible, high quality antenatal, postnatal and family support services, within the Lisburn Sure Start catchment area.  This will include both antenatal and post natal home visiting, in addition to the delivery of programmes within the Sure Start area. The post holder will develop strong partnership links with core health visiting and midwifery services. An ability to adapt to change is essential as is the flexibility and a willingness to work across all Lisburn SureStart services, as necessary.

Essential Criteria:

  • A NVQ Level 3, Advanced Diploma, equivalent or higher qualification in:
    • Child Care
    • Education
    • Early Years
    • Social Care or Health
  • 5 GCSE’s at grade C and above including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent
  • One year’s experience working with children and families
  • 1 years’ experience of working with babies aged 0-1.
  • The  candidate must hold a full and current driving license valid in the UK with access to a car on appointment – NB this criteria will be waived in the case of an applicant whose disability prohibits driving but is able to organize suitable alternative arrangements
