The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member:

The Cedar foundation deliver a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our services are centred around the individual needs of each person and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland.

The Communications Officer will provide support to the organisation in delivery of the Communications Strategy to include updating Cedar’s website, social media channels and print and online marketing materials. To support Cedar’s Services and User Forum in relation to local promotional activities and events.

Hours:                                 25 Hours per Week
Contract:                             Permanent
Office Base:                        Balmoral TRC, 1 Upper Lisburn Road, Belfast with option for agile working
Salary:                                 Commencing on £23,080 per annum pro rata

Starting on 20 days annual leave pro rata plus Cedar recognises 12 statutory days

Minimum RQF level 6/Degree or equivalent level professional qualification
Minimum of 1 year’s experience paid experience in a similar role
RQF level 4 or equivalent level professional qualification
Minimum of 3 years paid experience in a similar role &
Experience of preparing content for websites, ezines and social media channels
Experience of organising in-person and online meetings/events
*a similar role is defined as supporting communications, marketing or PR in a voluntary or community sector organisation
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point and Access
Hold a full current driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes*
*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full.
