A Cook Manager with similar previous experience is required for one of our prestigious contracts. If you are a people person who has the drive and desire to deliver, then we want to hear from you.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your catering management career in Mount Charles Group. You will work with the Client to ensure the requirements and expectations of staff and residents are met and maintain high standards throughout.
What you'll do in this role:
As the Cook Manager you will have full responsibility for the catering and hospitality services across the unit. You will be hard working and have a great passion for quality food. You will successfully lead the management of all aspects of your unit through coaching, developing, motivating and engaging your team and creature a culture to be proud of. You will take great care in your work, have a strong work ethic and have the ability to help this business to grow.
What will make you perfect for the job?
The key is a passion for delivery high standards. Applicants should be enthusiastic about what they do, have a good eye for detail and be able to work under pressure. The successful candidate will have experience managing sites with full financial responsibility, having a good understanding of budgets, forecasting and delivering on targets. You will be a strong, confident chef and manager, who has previous experience of working in busy kitchen environments, working closely with clients, building excellent relationships and meeting their needs effectively.
Operating a very busy kitchen in a care home setting
Focusing on tasty, well balanced and nutritious meals
Have a strong knowledge of textured diets
Meeting with the Client across a range of issues and running the unit to the budgetary constraints.
Managing the compliment of staff and driving change through good practice and leadership.

Rate of pay: £11.20 per hour
Hours of Work: 36hours, 4 days out of 7, 8am-5.30pm
