Due to continued company expansion the Mount Charles Group are recruiting for a hardworking, caring and motivated Dining Room Assistant to work within our Healthcare Division at Adelaide House Care Home, Adelaide Park, Belfast. At the Mount Charles Group our Healthcare Division provide catering and services to a range of Nursing and Residential Homes across Northern Ireland.
As a Dining Room Assistant, you will play a vital role within the lives of elderly residents and will always meet them with a friendly face. You will greet residents, serve their meals and maintain the standards of the catering offering. You will be flexible, hard-working, excel in customer service and have a passion for the role that you do.
The successful candidate will benefit from onsite car parking and excellent development opportunities, with uniform being provided.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Maintaining counters and serving residents
Ensuring that areas of work and tables are kept to a high standard of cleanliness throughout the day
Completing production, wastage, temperature and cleaning records. Report discrepancies to your line manager
Maintaining stocks and supplies
Complying with all company and legal procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, health and safety and personal requirements
Excellent customer service
Previous experience working in a catering role within a healthcare setting
The ability to prioritise and have an eye for detail
Good communication skills – written and verbal
The ability to demonstrate great team work skills
The ability to follow instruction
Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Catering or equivalent is desirable as well as experience working in a busy food service environment.
Hours of work: 27 hours per week, 3 days out of 7 or 18 hours per week, 2 days out of 7.
Rate of pay: Negotiable depending on experience
