ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH MANAGER
Scale PO5, NJC Spinal Column Points 38-41, £41,881 – £44,863 per annum
KEY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
As a member of the Environmental Health Service Unit Management Team the post holder will be required to:
- Planning, co-ordination and management of employees to develop an effective, efficient, economical and equitable Environmental Health Service in furtherance of the Councils strategic objectives.
In addition, the post holder will be allocated to one or more of the following areas of responsibility:
- To take the lead role for the Council in the development and implementation of the Council’s Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.
- To take the lead role in the development and implementation of the Council’s new powers in relation to Off Street Car Parking Policies, Procedures and enforcement.
- To manage the Eastern region Animal Welfare Service (on behalf of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council and Ards & North Down Borough Council) and direct the response to animal welfare incidents across NI on an ongoing basis.
