Cedar delivers a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our services are centred around the individual needs of each person and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland.
Our Floating Support team assists adults living in their own home to carry out their housing responsibilities, as independently as possible, by tailoring housing related support to suit their individual needs.
Floating Support is focused on the goals of the person and based on partnership working with them, alongside referral agents, families/next of kin/guardians, allied health and/or housing professionals, other agencies etc., as appropriate.
Client group: Older People Services 55+
Hours: 30 hours per week across Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Salary: Commencing on £18, 933 per annum pro rata
Location: Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards

Basic qualification to RQF level 2 or equivalent (QCF, NVQ etc)
Minimum of 1 year’s paid and/or voluntary experience of providing support services to people with a disability, or other vulnerable groups
Knowledge of the support needs of disability and/or other vulnerable groups
Proficiency in IT skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a suitable vehicle on appointment as driving is a substantive part of the role.
This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full. Please note due to the rural setting/large area to be covered public transport would not be a suitable alternative.
Starting on 20 days annual leave pro rata plus Cedar recognises 12 statutory days
