Reporting to the Senior HSEQ Advisor (Power Division), you will support the delivery of the HSEQ strategy for KN Circet and assist in achieving continuous improvement in HSEQ performance across all parts of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of the HSEQ Management system, in line with (ISO 45001), ISO 9001 and ISO 14001;
  • Ensuring compliance with HSEQ statutory duties is achieved;
  • Reporting to management on the performance of the management systems and any need for improvement;
  • Ensuring the promotion and awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation;
  • Responsible for carrying out site audits/inspections, checking and reporting compliance levels for Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental issues;
  • Provide guidance and assist Project managers / Supervisors in order to achieve compliance within the law, company and client HSEQ requirements;
  • Coaching and mentoring field operatives to improve Safety and compliance and optimise company KPI’s;
  • Carry out risk assessments, identifying hazards and implement control measures;
  • Take part in Safety meetings and complete Toolbox talks;
  • Compile Statistics and writing reports;
  • Attend client meeting and present safety statistics;
  • Identify training needs and organise accordingly;
  • Investigate and report incidents;
  • Implementing the HSEQ Management system, in line with ISO Certification;
  • Ensuring compliance with HSEQ statutory duties is achieved;
  • Ensuring that processes needed for the management systems are established, implemented and maintained;
  • Reporting to top management on the performance of the management systems and any need for improvement;
  • Ensuring the promotion and awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.

Key Tasks;

  • Maintaining ISO Certification in the region and the continual development and improvement of the HSEQ Management System;
  • Producing and implementing HSEQ Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms and other site documentation;
  • Reviewing site HSEQ documentation to ensure it meets legal requirements;
  • To advise Senior Operations Management of their statutory duties, changes in legislation to ensure compliance;
  • Monitoring via audits compliance with the HSEQ Safety Management System;
  • Ensuring records of incidents are maintained and investigations undertaken to establish the root causes and that controls are in place to avoid a reoccurrence;
  • To monitor accident frequency rates to establish any trends or improvements;
  • Produce HSEQ documentation for Tenders;

Core Skills;

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent;
  • Preferably NEBSOH Diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of Graduate Member of IOSH and current CPD;
  • Environmental Management Qualification;
  • Fluent in Microsoft packages;
  • Good standard of written English essential.
  • Patient and assertive, with excellent communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work with people at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
  • Full driving license

Knowledge & Experience;

  • Experience in Telecommunications Networks, Distribution and Transmission Power Networks.
  • Experience working with ESBN, ESBT;
  • Relevant experience in HSEQ at the same level with a minimum of 2 years’ experience;
  • Previous experience of working in a similar field;
  • Good level of education;
  • Membership of IOSH;
  • Strong Environmental Management Knowledge;
  • A proven track record of developing, implementing and integrating policies;
  • An understanding of the regulatory sector and the management of risk;
  • Experience of building a strong and consistent culture of safety throughout an organisation.
