Position: Industrial Cleaning Operatives – Full Time Permanent Positions
£10.00 per hour
We are looking for two experienced Industrial Cleaning Operatives to join our team and work on our new Radius Housing contract which will cover a plethora of social and sheltered housing. Day to day you will be responsible for the cleaning and servicing of your area, as allocated by the Line Manager to the required standard. This role requires a full clean driving licence
Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards – this to include weekly and periodic tasks.
Manually presenting refuge receptacles for collection and returning to the bin store.
Removing various additional waste items for disposal from various sites.
Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH).
Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use.
Ensure that the safety signage is used appropriate at all times, e.g. wet floor signs and ‘warn’ customers where possible.
Ensure that cleaning stores are kept clean and tidy and equipment is stored correctly and safely at all times.
Be knowledgeable in ‘biohazard’, or biological hazard; we work in environments that may be involve the cleaning of bodily fluids such as blood, faeces or vomit that can carry infectious diseases including hepatitis or HIV.
Safe disposal of sharps such as needles and blades may be necessary.
Comply with all security regulations for cleaning materials, equipment and buildings as laid down by client and Mount Charles
The Ideal Candidate
Have a full driving licence
Have knowledge of cleaning chemicals/products and have previous cleaning experience
Are customer focused with good eye for detail
Good time management skills
Experience of working on your own and ensuring set tasks are completed.
