The Denroy Group is looking to recruit an IT Support Technician to join the IT Department.  Reporting to the IT Manager the post holder will provide effective Tier 1 support across all aspects of the business and will work closely with the IT Support Engineer.  The post holder is responsible for supporting and maintaining Server and Desktop Operating Systems, Azure and O365 infrastructure plus providing general maintenance of all IT related hardware and software.  The position provides exposure to a broad range of both IT and Non IT related projects and activities.

Duties/Areas of Responsibility (Not Exhaustive)

  • Escalate IT issues to the IT Manager where necessary
  • Manage and Respond to the Servicedesk escalating issues within the team where necessary
  • Ensure Backup Integrity – On Premise and Cloud
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Manager
  • Provide desktop and server support (Local and Remote)
  • Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops
  • Install authorised software to laptops and desktops
  • Ensuring security, antimalware and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops
  • Fault-finding on laptops and desktops
  • Reporting faults and maintaining logs on servers, desktops and laptops
  • User Provisioning and Internal Migrations
  • Network Installation and Patching
  • Ensure all logs for equipment and users are maintained
  • Server Installation and Configuration
  • Server Patching and Monitoring
  • Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software
  • Software and Hardware Asset Management
  • O365 User management and provisioning
  • Azure Infrastructure and Applications Management
  • Systems administration with focus on (Azure) Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Cyber security and support of ISO 27001 Implementation

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Computing / Technical Support or equivalent NVQ
  • Logic Problem solving and Analytical skills
  • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Windows 10
  • (Azure) Active Directory
