Randox Laboratories require a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated scientist to work within our Monoclonal Antibody Production team. This team is responsible for the manufacture of monoclonal antibodies used within our expansive catalogue of diagnostic products – both on the market and currently in development. The role will involve working closely with Manufacturing departments and various R&D departments.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Planning, scheduling and manufacture of the full range of Randox monoclonal antibody products to meet project targets.
All related cell culture and aseptic technique work practices and current methods.
Antibody assessment using various assay formats (e.g. ELISA, SDS-PAGE, HPLC).
R&D relating to departmental improvements, where applicable.
Compilation and implementation of new protocols and procedures relating to departmental improvements, where applicable.
Generation and upkeep of protocols and work instructions associated with monoclonal antibody manufacture.
Qualifications and experience:
Be educated to at least degree level (2:1) in a Life Science or related subject
A positive attitude with the drive, work ethic and flexibility to meet targets.
Excellent numeric, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages.
Previous experience in cell culture.
Previous experience/knowledge of larger scale growth platforms such as bioreactors.
Previous experience in ELISA, SDS-Page, HPLC, Western blotting and operation of AKTA systems,
Previous experience developing/writing macros and additional excel tools.
Knowledge of GLP, GMP and SAGE stock control system.
