The Role
Working as part of the Chemistry team based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, you will lead a team of chemists to deliver complex synthetic, stable isotope and 14C labelling projects to the required quality, quantity and timelines. Whilst providing technical leadership/oversight on all projects within your team, working closely with colleagues across the department to assist with problem solving.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Chemistry or closely related discipline
  • Previous recent experience of the synthesis and analysis of organic molecules
  • Proven ability to provide technical/ scientific leadership on project work
  • Previous experience in a synthetic chemistry role involving direct supervision or management of staff, including setting objectives and monitoring performance

Desirable Criteria
(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)

  • Postgraduate Qualification i.e. MSc, PhD or equivalent in Chemistry or other closely related discipline
  • Previous experience of the synthesis and analysis of 14C radiolabelled organic molecules
  • Experience of drug substance manufacture in a GMP environment
