Addiction NI is the leading alcohol and drug treatment charity in Northern Ireland and is part of the Inspire Group which is the largest mental health and wellbeing charity in Northern Ireland.

Funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund, Drink Wise Age Well is a UK-wide programme which aims to influence and inform policy and practice in preventing alcohol misuse among people, aged 50 and over. 

Addiction NI are now recruiting for a Remote Advisor to operate a new over 50s helpline. The helpline will be UK wide and operate 7 days a week. Users will also be offered an enhanced service of up to 4 remote sessions to explore their alcohol use. Successful post holders will be skilled in delivering psychosocial and behaviour change interventions, have knowledge of age-related factors and safeguarding polices, be able to work remotely and cover a 7 day rota schedule including weekends. Job Title:                                  Remote Advisor

Salary:                                      £23,000 pro rata per annum

Hours of Work:                        37 per week (The core hours of the service are from 2pm until 8pm Monday – Friday and between                                                      12noon and 4pm Saturday & Sunday)
                                                 *Part Time hours will be considered* 
                                                  
Contract Type:                         Fixed Term, approximately 12 months

Location:                                  Remote Home Working or Office based (Offices located in Omagh, Derry/Londonderry or Belfast)

Following the interviews a waiting list will be created for similar posts for a nine month period. These waiting lists may cover permanent, temporary, full-time and part-time posts and where applicable various working patterns and locations.
