Reports to: Head of Adult Hospice Services
Responsible to: Director of Care and Quality Governance
Salary: Based on Band 7 (£39,668 – £45,393 per annum pro rata)
Contract: Waiting List for Full Time and Part Time Roles
Working as a Speciality Nurse in Palliative Care/Hospice Nurse Specialist, as part of a team of nurses, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a specialist palliative care advisory service for a caseload of patients within a community setting. It is anticipated that the post holder will, following successful completion of a tailored induction programme within 6 months, take up the full remit of the role.
To assist the Head of Adult Hospice Services in meeting the service key performance indicators, making best use of resources.
To utilise their leadership skills, supporting the monitoring and achievement of standards of care, delivering high quality, clinically effective care and implementing service developments.
To act as a resource to health care professionals within primary care, Northern Ireland Hospice multidisciplinary team, Trust multidisciplinary teams, agencies and individuals.
