Role:                       Team Leader
Location:                 Ardkeen, 86 Malborough Park North, Belfast
Salary:                     £11.25ph – £12.04ph plus sleep in payment. Additional Hours: £13.37 per hour  
Hours per week:      30 hours with sleep in shifts

We are currently offering a Welcome Bonus totalling £1000: The bonus will be £250 on successful completion of 3 months’ service, a further £250 on successful completion of 6 months’ service & a further £500 paid on first anniversary totalling £1000. T&C’s apply 

The Role
The Cedar Foundation delivers a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our services are centred around the individual needs of each service user and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland.
As part of the Living Options services, the Team Leader will be a part of the management team and will support the Registered Manager/Deputy Manager to meet the Domiciliary Care Agencies Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 and the DHSS&PS Domiciliary Care Agency Minimum Standards. They will ensure that NIHE "Supporting People" contractual requirements and standards are met and maintained. The Team leader will support the Registered Manager/Deputy Manager to develop and implement personalised care/support plans and individual risk assessments to meet individual needs.
They will support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure the delivery of quality care and support. Team leaders will also support with the management budgets and resources effectively.
The Team Leader will mentor and supervise the Support Team. Team Leaders must be available to work flexibly and be available to work unsociable hours and public holidays on a rotational basis.

Essential Criteria:
1. GCSE Maths and English A*-C or equivalent
2. Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or relevant equivalent
3. Two years’ previous experience in a human service setting providing support/care.
4. Knowledge of physical and sensory disabilities and /or brain injury with associated needs and /or learning disability
5. Effective communication and use of IT skills
6. Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a vehicle*.
*consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence
