Sustainable Farming Project Associate – KTP Associate with Foyle Food Group, Omagh

Foyle Food Group is a red meat processing business with over 40 years’ experience. Foyle operates eight state-of-the-art facilities on five sites – two in Northern Ireland, one in the Republic of Ireland and two in England, processing over 7,500 cattle. All beef comes from a closed supply chain supported by experienced farmers in producer clubs.

As a step in continuous improvement to better the quality of their beef and welfare of their animals, Foyle, in partnership with South West College, have secured a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to develop a higher welfare housing and bedding system for beef cattle. The KTP associate will be responsible for transfer of knowledge and technology between the South West College and Foyle by undertaking a project.
